What began as a small initiative has grown into a vibrant celebration of unique burgers, thanks to the hard work and creativity of more than 20 participating local restaurants each year. This event showcases Saint John’s chefs’ inventive spirit and brings our community together each spring around May.

What is Uptown Burger Week?
Uptown Burger Week is an annual celebration of all things burgers! This page features restaurants located in the Uptown Saint John Business Improvement Area (BIA), each serving up unique and creative takes on the beloved burger.
From classic smash burgers to stacked, flavour-packed creations, there’s something for every burger lover to sink their teeth into during this week-long celebration of buns, beef, boldness and beyond!
Wondering when the next Uptown Burger Week is? The date is typically updated about a month before the event, so stay tuned and stay hungry.
How do I find the menus?
The FAQ section is located below the menus, so start by scrolling up to view the list of participating restaurants. Each restaurant has a dropdown menu where you can find their submitted burger details.
The menus you see here are the ones we’ve received from participating restaurants. If your favourite restaurant is listed but doesn’t have a menu yet, we encourage you to check directly with them for updates.
Do I need tickets or reservations?
No tickets are needed to participate in Uptown Burger Week! Simply visit the participating restaurants to enjoy their unique burger creations.
Menu prices vary by restaurant, so be sure to review their menus for pricing and details. For busier times, such as lunch and dinner, making a reservation (if the restaurant accepts them) is a good idea to ensure your spot.
What types of burgers can I expect?
Restaurants serve up a mix of classic and creative burgers during Uptown Burger Week! You’ll find everything from simple, perfectly grilled patties to bold, over-the-top creations stacked high with unexpected toppings and big flavour.

How do I get to Uptown Saint John?
There are many ways to get to Uptown Saint John! Whether you’re walking, driving, or taking transit, planning ahead will help you make the most of your visit.
🚶♂️ Walking: Follow Harbour Passage, a scenic trail that runs from Douglas Avenue to Uptown, offering beautiful waterfront and city views. Find a map here. Once Uptown, explore by strolling the sidewalks, take in the historic streetscapes, and discover great places to eat, shop, and enjoy.
🚗 Driving: On-street parking is managed by the City of Saint John and is free on weekends, holidays, and from 6 PM to midnight on weekdays. Hourly rates apply Monday to Friday 8 AM to 6 PM and paid parking is available through meters, pay-by-plate, HotSpot App, and QR codes. Prefer covered parking? Market Square, Brunswick Square, and Peel Plaza offer convenient indoor garages.

Reminder: If driving, please be mindful of residential areas, as many locals rely on street parking.
How mobility-friendly is Uptown Saint John?
Uptown Saint John is a beautiful and historic area, but its historic design can present some challenges for mobility. While some locations are accessible to those using wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers, some areas may have uneven sidewalks or varying weather conditions that can impact ease of movement.
Outdoor Spaces:

Note: There is a pedway from Market Square to Brunswick Square that also has stairs and an elevator.
