Whether you’re hosting a cozy open mic, a retail sale, or a major community celebration, if it’s happening within the Uptown Saint John BIA area, we’d love you to share it. Use the button below to submit your event. Once approved (typically within 2–3 business days), it will be added to our Uptown community event calendar.

Top Tips for Submitting

Help your event shine! Follow these guidelines to make sure everything goes smoothly:

  • Add an image – 1MB or under is best
  • Double check your dates & times – overlapping entries can cause errors
  • Choose the right category – this helps visitors easily find your event

Submit early – especially for seasonal events (Uptown Sparkles, Valentine’s Day, etc.)

Choosing the Right Category

When submitting your event, selecting the right category ensures it shows up in the places visitors look. Here’s how to choose:

Community & Business Organized Events

For general activities, markets, pop-ups, and everything in between. You can even pick a subcategory that best fits your event.

Specials → Restaurant Specials / Retail Specials

Perfect for daily, weekly, or seasonal features like:

  • Restaurant specials (brunch menus, drink features, etc.)
  • Retail discounts or promos

Choose one of the following subcategories:

  • Restaurant Specials
  • Retail Specials

Uptown Sparkles

Use this for any Sparkles-specific happenings, like:

  • Extended hours
  • Holiday pop-ups
  • Window displays
  • In-store treats or music

Trouble Submitting?

Sometimes technology hits a snag! Before reaching out, check the following:

  • Is your photo under 1MB?
  • Are multiple people submitting at once? If so, give it a moment.
  • Are there any overlapping dates or times? These can cause errors.

What Venues Can Be Featured?

To be included on our calendar, your event must take place within the Uptown Saint John Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the venue must be in good standing with the BIA. Click here to view the map 

A Note on Promotion

Submitting an event to our calendar means your listing will be visible on our site, but please note that all additional promotion is the responsibility of the event organizer. Uptown Saint John Inc. is not involved in the management or marketing of external events.
