Celebrating Art, Diversity, Culture, and Placemaking in Uptown Saint John.
Uptown Saint John Inc, the Business Improvement Association for Saint John, is incredibly pleased to present another year of our Uptown Box Art Program. The program this year features TWO uptown utility boxes painted and transformed beautifully, and the installation of colourful banners which will be installed on Princess Street this summer. These impressive, original and very special banners have been painted by 18 local, incredibly talented students in our community.
We are so proud to provide the space to showcase our people and their wonderful talents, through these placemaking opportunities in Uptown Saint John.
This past Saturday, we celebrated the unveiling of these art installations through art, song, dance, and gathering and enjoying all things artistic. Various local schools and groups participated, and the day was so enjoyed by participants and event-goers alike. History and memories were made as everyone embraced the joyful vibes of all artistic elements under the sunny May skies.
