Uptown’s newest Indian restaurant offers many colourful & flavourful dishes!
Sandeep Saini (Chef Sandy) and Dr. Rupali Saini recently opened Royal King – Taste of India. Chef Sandy has been working in restaurants in India and throughout Canada for the past 25 years. His passion for cooking shows in his extensive menu featuring fantastic vegetarian, vegan, and non-vegetarian dishes (gluten-free options coming soon). Their personal favourite dishes are Chicken Taka Tak (his own invention) and Malai Kofta. Soon they will be adding new menu items featuring South Indian and Bombay Street Food as well.
The most popular dish that Uptown residents are ordering is the Combo meal (available in vegetarian & non-vegetarian). Locals have lovingly nicknamed this menu item the sampler. It includes three curries, a salad, rice, naan, and dessert.
Their inviting dining room area offers a lot of space and some lovely natural light provided by large windows. If you are not able to make it in, they are also on Skip the Dishes.
