The smash-hit Broadway musical Come From Away will be presented this summer for the first time ever in a fully local, New Brunswick production. With a stage full of homegrown talent, Fredericton-born Broadway star Tony LePage will co-direct and reprise his Apple TV+ role in the show.
Come From Away shares the incredible story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were stranded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives with open hearts. This heartwarming musical, inspired by real-life events, celebrates the power of kindness, community, and human connection in the face of unexpected challenges.
In this production, a cast and crew from across the province will come together to celebrate East Coast Canada’s rich musical traditions, warm, welcoming nature and the recognition that we are all part of a larger global family. From local actors and musicians to the creative minds behind the scenes, this show will be a true celebration of what makes our province so unique.
