SUMMARY:ECSQ Concert at the Saint John Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:The Elm City String Quartet is back for ECSQ Season 3! The ECSQ starts their season with their favourite concert formula; something old\, something new\, and a tune to sing on the way home. The concert kicks off with “The Emperor” string quartet by Haydn\, the formative master of the quartet genre. The piece is a favourite classic\, and a great way to refresh our quartet sound after a summer break. We continue with “Plan & Elevation” by Pulitzer Award winning composer Caroline Shaw\, who is one of top movers and shakers in the modern quartet writing scene. We close the concert with Bedřich Smetana’s Quartet 1\, “From my Life\,” a musical memoir written while the composer’s hearing was rapidly deteriorating.

Our goal is to create a safe\, non-judgmental\, inclusive\, and sensory-friendly environment where everyone can enjoy the Halloween spirit. We strive to make this event as accessible as possible for everyone. \nEvent Details:\nParticipants will Trick-or-Treat from car to car\, trunk to trunk\, at the TD Station parking lot. Please register for one of the following time slots: \n\n5:00 PM – 5:45 PM\n5:45 PM – 6:30 PM\n\nRegistration:\nALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER to help us keep track of numbers and ensure we have enough candy for everyone.
