DESCRIPTION:L’Arche Saint John proudly presents Building Community with special guest Roxanne Fairweather and emcee Emily Rodger on Wednesday\, Sept. 27\, 2023 at Delta Hotels by Marriott Saint John. \nReception begins at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. A silent auction will be featured. \nTickets are $130 per person or $1\,200 for a table of 10. \nThis evening will present a fireside chat with Ms. Fairweather\, followed by a question & answer session. \nRoxanne is co-President and co-owner of Innovatia Inc.\, a global knowledge management company providing software and services to Fortune 100 and 500 companies\, headquartered in Saint John\, New Brunswick. Roxanne has served on the University of New Brunswick’s Board of Governors since 2003. Roxanne’s interest in education has also forged a partnership between Innovatia and the Elementary Literacy Friends (ELF) program\, which focuses on increasing literacy throughout the province by providing volunteer tutors to Grade 2 students. \nRoxanne is currently Chair of ELF and Chair of Achieve Literacy Greater Saint John\, organizing a special focus on gathering the needed resources and strategies for Kindergarten to Grade 2 students to ensure that 90% of children are reading at grade level. She is a member of the Leadership Board for BCAPI\, the Saint John Business Anti-Poverty Initiative. In 2014 Roxanne was inducted into the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame and received the Order of New Brunswick. \nOur emcee for the evening is Emily Rodger\, an inspirational leadership coach and former world-class cyclist. Emily’s remarkable story is captured in the documentaries Cadence and Chasing the Current. \nWell known local artist\, Lana Langille\, will be creating a live painting during the evening to be put up for auction at the end of the night. \nIn 2022\, our evening of Building Community attracted more than 400 people from the business\, government and non-profit communities in the region and across New Brunswick.
