DESCRIPTION:Brian Patafie grew up in Greenwood Nova Scotia in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. Years later following his University graduation he ventured out for the next 44 years working as an athletic trainer in both the professional hockey and the junior hockey industry including stints with the AHL Nova Scotia Voyageurs and the Moncton Golden Flames. After retiring in 2021 Brian followed his first love and became a standup comedian and since that time he has performed in clubs and theatres all over North America. In October of 2022 he rached what he calls the pinnacle of his new career when he was the Featured act for Comedy Sensation Christine Fekete on her “What The Fekete Tour” an eight city\, twelve show tour through the United Kingdom.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on May 25th in King’s Square as we celebrate the unveiling of our new Art Installation on the corner of Canterbury Street and Princess Street.  This is phase 3 in of our Uptown Box Art project\, and we are super excited! \nWe have commissioned two local artists; Elizabeth Cook\, and Lisa-Ann Scichilone\, to transform the large SJ Energy Electrical Box into an artistic masterpiece.  One of the mandates of our BIA organization is to encourage and create placemaking.  This installation will bring a beautiful visual vibrancy to this corner of the uptown that we can be proud of.  Find out more about the artists and the project HERE. \nOn May 25th\, we will be celebrating this endeavour as we enjoy live music\, dance\, art\, and more.  Hope to see you there!
