SUMMARY:Derek Seguin is back at Punch Lines Comedy Club!
DESCRIPTION:Montreal-based Derek Seguin is one of the most sought after stand up comedians on the international circuit. This 2021 Juno Nominee has performed at the prestigious invitation-only Just For Laughs festival an impressive six times. He had filmed a gala set for HBO at the festival where he received a standing-ovation at the city’s 3\,500 seat Place des Arts. This led to an invitation to perform at that year’s Nasty Show.\nDerek’s has many other televised appearances and festivals under his belt and had appeared on CBC Radio’s\, “The Debaters” more than twenty-five times and recorded two episodes of CBC television’s\, “The Debaters”.\nWhether he’s ragging on politics or describing life with his children\, he brings us into his perspective without preaching any selfish point of view. His undeniable charm makes him simply fun to watch and listen to and is in large part why he is one of Canada’s most “in demand” comedians.

Questions and participation from the audience is strongly encouraged.\n\nInclusivity and accessibility are our top priorities. SUMMARY:Connections: A Community Conversation Panel Series
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow Saint John community members at Haven Music Hall for candid conversations about the social\, political and cultural systems that affect us. Society is divided between the few who dominate and the many who are dominated. This division is the product of the core structures that define our society (i.e.\, systems of oppression). A team of panelists will explore ideas around these systems of oppression and connect them to basic needs\, gender\, race\, and environmental issues. Questions and participation from the audience is strongly encouraged.\n\nInclusivity and accessibility are our top priorities. If you’d like more information about Haven Music Hall please email hello@havenmusichall.com or visit www.havenmusichall.com. Please contact the event organisers in advance at ConnectionsSJ@proton.me for any requests or inquiries about the panel series.\n\nRegistration link: https://tally.so/r/wAxPN0\n\nDoors: 5:30pmPanel: 6:00pm-7:30pmOpen discussion: 7:30pm-8:00pm\n\nSchedule:August 29th – Systems of OppressionSeptember 19th – Basic NeedsOctober 24th – Gender IssuesNovember 21st – Race IssuesDecember 12th – Environment
