DESCRIPTION:The Fabulously Rich bring their acclaimed tribute to The Tragically Hip to the Kent Theatre in Saint John on Saturday\, April 11\, 2026 for a night dedicated to one of Canada’s most beloved bands and the songs that still bring people together across the country. \nLong before The Fabulously Rich formed\, frontman Dennis Ellsworth crossed paths with Gord Downie in a remarkable collaboration on a musical rendition of Gord’s poem Coke Machine Glow\, recorded at The Tragically Hip’s Bathhouse Studio for Dennis’s Hazy Sunshine album. That experience grew into a genuine friendship\, with backstage visits\, shared conversations\, and the kind of spontaneous check-ins Gord was known for. That personal connection continues to inspire the band and shapes the energy and care they bring to every performance. \nThe Fabulously Rich began in 2016 as a one-time fundraiser in Charlottetown after news of Gord’s illness spread. What was meant to be a single evening quickly turned into something more. The response from the crowd was immediate and powerful\, and it became clear there was a strong desire to keep gathering around this music. Since then\, the band has performed for audiences big and small\, building a loyal following and earning the respect of fans who want to relive the experience of a great Hip show. \nAt its core\, this project is about honouring the legacy of The Tragically Hip while recreating the spirit of their live performances. From the anthems everyone knows to the deep cuts longtime fans love\, The Fabulously Rich deliver a set that captures the storytelling\, musicianship\, and unmistakable Canadian perspective that made The Hip so special. Their music continues to resonate because it speaks to shared memories\, road trips\, hometowns\, and the moments that shape who we are. \nThe band features Dennis Ellsworth on vocals\, Greg Stapleton on drums and vocals\, Trevor Campbell on lead guitar\, Craig Goodick on bass\, and TJ Lewis on guitar. Four Athenians find themselves in a forest inhabited by fairies who manipulate the humans and are engaged in their own domestic intrigue. It is a lighthearted\, humourous and fun tale of love and\, often misguided\, magic set in motion by the mischievous trickster Puck. The ballet adaptation is set to Mendelssohn’s 1827 concert overture and 1843 instrumental score which includes the famous “Wedding March.” \nBallet: A Canadian Way \nBengt Jörgen will bring this story to life in his own original ballet version as a tribute to Canada’s North. Ballet Jörgen’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will bring out the magic of Northern Canada’s woodland and tundra landscapes and creatures of the forest such as moose\, beavers\, bears\, and squirrels. SUMMARY:Kalabanté Afrique en Cirque
DESCRIPTION:Kalabanté Productions was created by Yamoussa Bangoura\, a multidisciplinary artist of Guinean origin.  Yamoussa’s long term dream was the founding of a school of circus arts\, and direct his own multidisciplinary company specializing in the African arts.  As the company director he develops his own shows which over the past several years have been increasingly gathering attention and recognition in the Quebec circus arts community and worldwide.  Kô Ryass\, and other shows such as Kumbaya\, Uno\, Kira Nene and Afrique en Cirque have been created and performed worldwide.  Several new projects are in development for the coming years\, which will continue to disseminate and promote the values of the company. \nYamoussa first became interested in the Circus Arts as a young man growing up in Conakry Guinea in the 1990’s.   He studied the circus performers he saw on European TV and practiced on the beach and dirt around his home. He also studied the Nyamakala tradition of circus\, practiced by the Fula people of West Africa. He eventually joined Guinea’s original circus company\, Circus Baobob. with whom he toured Africa and Europe.  With this company he was able to spend time in Spain and France where he honed many of the European style circus skills. \nIn the early 2000’s\, he was recruited to come to Canada with Cirque Eloize\, a Montreal based Canadian cirque company. \n
