SUMMARY:Rainbow Entrepreneurship Workshop Series: The Confidence Lab with CJ Norris
DESCRIPTION:Are you a member of the 2SLGBTQI+ business and/or creative communities in the greater Saint John area? Please join us for the third installment of our Rainbow Entrepreneurship Workshop Series: The Confidence Lab with CJ Norris\, a multi-disciplinary performing artist\, theatre creator\, arts facilitator\, and event host based in Moncton\, NB. \nCreatives and entrepreneurs share a common need for self-representation in both public and intimate settings. From exhibitions\, to conferences\, and even coffee meetings\, carrying yourself with clarity and confidence can fully shift how you feel about yourself\, and how you’re perceived. “The Confidence Lab” is a workshop for 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs to level-up their public speaking and conversational abilities. \nParticipants will use what makes them unique and interesting\, and pair it with standard confidence practices like audience engagement and verbal pacing. In the end\, they’ll have a new-found confidence in sharing their authentic selves and work with the world. SUMMARY:Pride Flag Raising for International Day Against Homophobia\, Biphobia & Transphobia
DESCRIPTION:2SLGBTQIA+ folks and allies are invited to join Chroma NB for our annual flag raising in celebration of International Day Against Homophobia\, Transphobia\, and Biphobia. \nWe will be gathering in front of Saint John City Hall on Friday\, May 16th (one day early due to the weekend) at 12:30pm for speeches\, a reading by a local poet\, and of course raising the Progress Pride flag. \nIDAHOBIT was established to commemorate the 1990 decision of the World Health Organization to remove homosexuality from its International Classification of Diseases. We will gather to celebrate and reaffirm progress made by the 2SLGBTQIA+ community\, and also acknowledge the work left to do to obtain true equality.
