Until 30 October 2016: Marie Hélène Allain – Imagerie de l’héritière exhibition at the New Brunswick Museum.
Marie Hélène Allain from Sainte-Marie-de-Kent is one of New Brunswick’s most acclaimed artists. Allain’s installation, Imagerie de l’héritière, is the culmination of forty-five years of creativity and is an evocative statement about belonging. Imagerie de l’héritière is arranged in three interrelated sections: an upturned tree trunk with a mass of natural and sculpted stones; a pair of tabletop works; and a grouping of seven separate tree trunk and stone sculptures.
