Photography Flewwelling Moves To Princess Street

Uptown Saint John has been home to Photography Flewwelling since 1976, and we are very fortunate to have Martin and his team as an important piece of our city and uptown.  Recently, after many years on Prince William Street, Photography Flewwelling moved their office and studio to 85 Princess Street.  Sometimes a change proves best, and their new space is lovely, bright and welcoming.

Photography Flewwelling specializes in all styles of photography; portraits, commercial, and fine art, as well as an extensive framing space, with the ability to mount any type of photo or object with care and expertise.  Martin has been the recipient of many awards and distinctions, including the prestigious Yousaf Karsh Award.

Welcome to Princess Street, Martin, Cynthia, Tim, Jackie, Monique, Kelly and Logan!

We welcome Kelsey Ingersoll to our Uptown Saint John office!

We would like to announce a new member of our team here at our Business Improvement Association. Kelsey Ingersoll recently did her work co-op term here in our office and we liked her so much, we asked her to stay!  Kelsey graduated from the NBCC Marketing program, with honours in June 2017.  She also received the Academic Excellence Award, quite a distinction.  No wonder we wanted to keep her!  She will be our new Operations Manager, and she already fits in just perfectly.

Kelsey lives and now works uptown, and has a passion for urban living and the lifestyle it affords.  She enjoys music, cosmetology, traveling & attending local events.  There is no doubt you will see and hear from her more in the days to come. Feel free to stop by our office at 17 Canterbury Street and say hi!

Welcome, Kelsey, we are looking forward to the days and years ahead!

Overnight Parking On-Street is now a thing!

We now have more options when out on the town during the weekend.

The area these rules apply to is bounded by King Street & Duke Street, and Water Street and Charlotte Street.  Specifically this allows for overnight parking on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from May 1 – October 31.

Please note, daytime parking rules still apply as usual.

We salute our 2017 Uptown Ambassadors – Allie Ruigrok and Rory Shepherd

It continues to be a super fun summer uptown, and we have two rock star students helping us out: Allie Ruigrok and Rory Shepherd.

This will be Allie’s third summer with our BIA, and she is happy to share her talents with photography, graphic design, event planning, and organization skills with us.  Our BIA Brochure creation, Courtyard Concerts Poster creation, Uptown Advantage Card, Uptown Mug Shots, and #SipsAhoy campaign, are just a few of the projects she has assisted with in significant ways.   Allie will be returning to the University of Ottawa to continue her studies in biomedical science in the fall.

Rory joined us this year and has helped us with various projects as well, including the Paw Party, Germain Street Fence project, and was wonderful at sharing our weekend events.  Rory has finished up his time with us and is heading to Nova Scotia Community College this fall to take design.

We thank both of these great individuals – their energy has been appreciated, their skills and ideas have been very valuable, and we love the youthful vibe they bring to the office and uptown!
