Virtuoso singers with amazing a cappella renditions, this young, talented group draws inspiration from the traditions of their country of origin, the African Republic of Chad, but also from more than 120 African ethnic regions. Multilingual, HSao carefully chooses and composes their songs to reflect their homeland, love, hope, honour and their new lives in Canada, sung in their native languages, French and English. Combined with a joyful appreciation of African rhythms and a live band, HSao beautifully blends their love of gospel, soul, jazz and R&B to create a sunny World-pop sound.
HSao sets itself above the rest, with their fine-tuned vocal talent, the beauty of their melodies, their sparse arrangements and great rhythmic variety. Journal de Mont-Laurier

IMPERIAL THEATRE: A BRIEF HISTORY
Imperial Theatre has seen a lot a change over the past 98 years. From the grand opening in September 1913 to the grand re-opening in May 1994, it has evolved from a vaudeville palace, to a movie house, to a church and finally, to the multi-purpose performing arts centre we know today. Billed as the finest in Eastern Canada when it first opened in September of 1913, it regained that distinction upon its grand re-opening some 81 years later.
