Uptown Saint John is excited to welcome Eloise and Oliver, a new member of the Uptown Saint John Business Improvement Association! Located at 107 Princess Street, this beautiful new boutique is filled with handcrafted candles, thoughtfully curated home décor, and products from local and Canadian makers.
Owner Emily Essensa began selling at local markets in 2022 and has since expanded Eloise and Oliver into her first storefront location. The back of her shop serves as her studio, where she handcrafts decorative candles. The designs change with the seasons, and currently, throughout the shop, you can find many beautiful shell-shaped candles.
Emily’s passionate about supporting her fellow local creatives. Through the local market community, Emily connected with some talented makers and was excited to have a shop where their products could be discovered alongside her own. Featured in the store, you’ll find her candles, along with locally made goods, greeting cards and stickers featuring Canadian artists, and even a miniature print vending machine showcasing artwork by Emily MacIsaac Art. The shop’s eye-catching window artwork was created by local artist Jasmine of Plum Bums, another familiar face from the local maker community.
Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift, a new favourite candle, or something special to brighten your home, Eloise and Oliver is well worth a visit. We’re delighted to welcome Emily and her growing business to Princess Street.
