We’re excited to share that Local Love: A Business-Led Placemaking & Pride Initiative has received a second Award of Excellence.
This time, Local Love was recognized in the Public Realm – Large BIA/BID category at the 2026 Downtowns Atlantic Canada Awards of Excellence, held during the annual conference in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Downtown Atlantic Canada Awards celebrate outstanding work by Business Improvement Areas and Downtown organizations across Atlantic Canada. We’re honoured to receive this recognition alongside so many inspiring downtown initiatives from across the region, including submissions from communities such as Downtown Halifax, Downtown Fredericton, and Spring Garden Road.
Thank you to every Uptown business that displayed a poster, shared a story, sponsored a banner, added Local Love to your storefront or social media, and helped create a stronger sense of place across Uptown. Thank you as well to our community partners, Clean Crew, and staff whose work helped bring the initiative to life.
