The Monarch – An Amazing Butterfly StoryBack to Calendar
25 February Sunday 2pm: The Monarch – An Amazing Butterfly Story. Free admission. The Monarch butterfly is the only insect in the world known to make an annual migration of more than 4,000 kilometers – from southern Canada to a tiny wintering area high in the mountains of central Mexico. But the Monarchs are in big trouble; their numbers have declined precipitously in recent years. Join Jim Wilson for a talk that includes wonderful photographs to help understand the Monarch’s life cycle and challenges, and explains how each of us can do our part to save this beautiful and amazing insect. (In English) Snow Date: 1 March at 7pm.
